Details: I have for sale a 1998 Audi A4 5speed manual. It´s in pretty good condition. No car is perfect. I purchase the car August of 2011. It had about 176,000 miles on it. I had plans of doing performance work to it. The first thing I did was replace the engine and transmission with a used one out of a 2001 A4 I found. It had 80,000 miles on it. I go to this shop for any parts that I need. It´s a shop out there in suffolk, he has any part you need for any VW or Audi. He also does maintenence and performance work. Since the replacement I have replaced almost every piece of equipment under the hood. Mounts etc. The car runs great! Tranny shifts like butter, no hesitations from the engine, no weird noises under the hood. The car is ready to be daily driven for a LONG time. Oil replaced like clock work. I´ve also added Halo projector headlights and new tail lights. You can see in the pictures below. There was nothing wrong with them just like the look. Interior is very clean for the year. Only flaws on the interior are on the door panel handles. Somehave the paint coming off. The leather is cream so you do see where it can be cleaned up. But the pics were taken today and it still looks overall clean. And the radio is in safe mode. When I replaced the engine and tranny the radio went into safe mode. Everybody knows that European cars are like that. I have the code to take it out of safe mode just had to be reset. and lastly the driver seat has one tear in the threading. No cracks on any seat just that rip and its not big. Leather is in great condition. And that´s it for the interior. Every power option is in working condition. A/c blows ice cold, sunroof, locks, seats, heated seats kick in quick EVERYTHING. Exterior is ok. When I bought the car it was flawless. The only thing wrong with the exterior when I bought it was that the struts needed to be replaced. One of them were blown in the rear. All it does is make it a little bouncy on some roads and it screeches from the metal. Not bad. Haven´t replaced those as I have used all the money under the hood. Around January the car was vandalized. The broke the driver door window, Put dents in the passenger door, pulled the front bumper off a little bit, and had flattened two tires. I have since then replaced the window and bought a new door for the passenger side. I have pics of it just ask. None of the dammage was that bad. I have replace what was bad. Tires, window, door and fixed the bumper as best I could. But like I said before. These pics were taken today so this is how it looks currently. And I think that´s all. Most maintence done at VA Beach Audi/VW dealership. Bose sound system and Sunroof, In proper working condition. New Battery and Terminals.Bad: Clutch is starting to slip, may need to be adjusted or replaced. Driver side fender has noticeable, but not damage scratches from a flat tire on interstate. Rear bumper has 3 or 4 scratches, looks like possibly backed into something. Drivers seat has rip about 2.5´ long where you get in and out of vehicle on the back of the seat. Passenger window has to be played with to get to roll up. Details: This is an immaculate example of a fine sports sedan. This car has just under 74000 miles which are mostly highway miles. It is bone stock with a 4.2L V8 producing 340 hp and a 6sp manual transmission. It is a very quick car, but it is also a very solid and luxurious car at the same time.It is a perfect daily driver because it is so smooth and easy to drive and is fun when you step on it. Both the interior and the exterior are spectacular with very few nicks or dings anywhere on the body and next to no wear on any of the seats or knobs etc. This car looks almost like it did when it was brand new and does not show its age at all. Also has heated seats in both the front AND the rear as well as dual zone climate control. Auto dimming mirrors that can fold in with the turn of a knob. This car has recently had its 75k check up and passed with flying colors. I have the receipt for replacing the cabin air filter, air filter, and oil change. It is a 2 door convertable with a single button to put the top up or down. All you have to do is push the button and wait. The car comes with factory satelite radio with part of the previous owner´s subscription still remaining. It has factory 18in wheels with low profile tires and a full size spare in the trunk. I have the owners manual as well. The price is slightly negotiable but only for cash in hand or a loan check from a bank. I am trying to sell the car asap now because I found another car I want. I have maintained all oil changes and fluids. Her brother works at a Toyota dealership and we have always had tire rotations and state inspections performed there. We replaced the rear tires this past winter along with new wheel bearings in the rear (left and right) followed by an alignment. The front tires did not get replaced and do not match because they have a lot of tread remaining and I didn´t see the point. I beleive I replaced both passenger and driver side front rotors and pads about a year and a half ago, maybe more. There rear brakes have not been touched but rotors are showing wear. Some things to note... A previous owner looks to have attempted to jack the car up by the transmission pan. So, the pan is slightly concave. We have not had any issues with this it just always bothered me and I wanted to take the pan off and pop it back out but just never got around to it. Also, a previouse owner torqued down on the oil drain plug a little too much. When threading it back in after oil changes, the plug gets tight but I never trusted it. I use a tube of high temp gasket maker on every oil change by squriting it around the washer before tighting it down. Peace of mind....And lastly, the A4´s have a display screen on the dash. It displays data like MPGs, doors open or closed, ect...Since we have owned the car it has been flakey. Sometimes you can read it and sometimes you cannot...more to the cannot. The upper portion of the front bumper has some scuffs under the the grill. My wife wanted something larger so we went with a Toyota Sequoia. That is why it is for sale.I did not take any pictures of the interior but it is in excellent condition. All black leather.The pics are from last year and I have repainted the front lower diffuser since because it was faded. New rear tires are also not in the pictures.
