Details: I have for sale a 1998 Audi A4 5speed manual. It´s in pretty good condition. No car is perfect. I purchase the car August of 2011. It had about 176,000 miles on it. I had plans of doing performance work to it. The first thing I did was replace the engine and transmission with a used one out of a 2001 A4 I found. It had 80,000 miles on it. I go to this shop for any parts that I need. It´s a shop out there in suffolk, he has any part you need for any VW or Audi. He also does maintenence and performance work. Since the replacement I have replaced almost every piece of equipment under the hood. Mounts etc. The car runs great! Tranny shifts like butter, no hesitations from the engine, no weird noises under the hood. The car is ready to be daily driven for a LONG time. Oil replaced like clock work. I´ve also added Halo projector headlights and new tail lights. You can see in the pictures below. There was nothing wrong with them just like the look. Interior is very clean for the year. Only flaws on the interior are on the door panel handles. Somehave the paint coming off. The leather is cream so you do see where it can be cleaned up. But the pics were taken today and it still looks overall clean. And the radio is in safe mode. When I replaced the engine and tranny the radio went into safe mode. Everybody knows that European cars are like that. I have the code to take it out of safe mode just had to be reset. and lastly the driver seat has one tear in the threading. No cracks on any seat just that rip and its not big. Leather is in great condition. And that´s it for the interior. Every power option is in working condition. A/c blows ice cold, sunroof, locks, seats, heated seats kick in quick EVERYTHING. Exterior is ok. When I bought the car it was flawless. The only thing wrong with the exterior when I bought it was that the struts needed to be replaced. One of them were blown in the rear. All it does is make it a little bouncy on some roads and it screeches from the metal. Not bad. Haven´t replaced those as I have used all the money under the hood. Around January the car was vandalized. The broke the driver door window, Put dents in the passenger door, pulled the front bumper off a little bit, and had flattened two tires. I have since then replaced the window and bought a new door for the passenger side. I have pics of it just ask. None of the dammage was that bad. I have replace what was bad. Tires, window, door and fixed the bumper as best I could. But like I said before. These pics were taken today so this is how it looks currently. And I think that´s all. This car handles like a much smaller sports car :)-- Bridgestone Potenza Ultra performance all-season tires with roughly 60% treadlife-- high performance ceramic pads and roters on front (one year old) and just purchased new rear pads an roters for the rear--Cold Air Intake (adds roughly 20-30hp and has a nice sound)--new halogen LED Halo projector headlights-- paint is in great condition (minor scratches from being almost 14yrs old)--interior is in good condition(only issue is a tear in the leather on the drivers seat)-- repleaced stock speakers with Infinity reference series speakers ($250)-- new head unit tooThe Bad-- I am pulling an engine code P0741 which can be many things: 1) Low transmission fluid level 2) Dirty transmission fluid 3) Faulty torque converter clutch solenoid valve 4) Torque converter clutch solenoid valve harness or connecters 5) Torque converter solenoid is open or shorted 6)Transmission internal mechanical problem.I have changed the transmission fluid and shifting problems have subsided, but I still have this engine code reading. This car does drive and I have driven over 2,000 miles since I have changed the fluid. I do feel that this car has a lot of life left in it and I hope that I can find it a good home. Kelly Blue Book estimates this vehicle in ´Good´ condition at $4,800 and ´Fair´ at $4,300. I have adjusted my asking price to reflect the current issue. Details: I´m selling a 1998 Audi A4 Quattro 2.8L V6 with 109,100 miles on it.It´s a 5 speed manual, with the premium + cold weather package.It has Bose Audio, which still sounds great, along with heated seats that are still fully functional.The car runs well, it shifts smoothly... looks very clean interior + exterior.It´s recently had the timing belt + serpentine belt replaced, along with the spark plugs. I also put in a new temperature probe for the engine, and had a couple of other things fixed here and there.I also fixed the lower door molding on the driver side door, so the exterior requires no work.The airbag light is on because of a connector under the driver seat that has frayed over time (pulled the code, took it into Audi shop)... it can even be a DIY job if you really want to. My understanding is that it isn´t a real problem.Bottom line is that it´s a 14 year old car that´s got very low mileage for its age, and is in very good condition.I have the clean title in hand and the car has a brand new inspection, so it´s good to go.4500 OBO.E-mail or text 804-929-0628 if interested.I´ll put some better pictures up soon.
